Master Bedroom Details

Y’all— our move in date is in a WEEK!! I could not be more excited about this. It is a little surreal that we are moving out of our first place together. But- that journey is not over. We have it listed for lease! Our movers are set to come help us pack everything up.

One room I have been anxious to decorate and see come to life is our master bedroom. We have been living with our mattress on the floor for a few months, and to me it feels like I’m back in college days, haha. Nick could care less. I will admit that this was my decision because I wanted to get rid of our queen mattress and upgrade to the Tuft and Needle Mint King (soooo much better!). As promised, I waited to purchase an actual bed until we move. That way we didn't have to set up and break it down multiple times.

Here are a few crucial pieces that I have purchased to have our bedroom feel like a bedroom by the time we get there.

First, I chose a neutral upholstered bed from Wayfair. I did endless research on which bed would be the best option. I also was inspired by other bloggers who had this bed. I reached out to each of them and I was able to get personal feedback on the quality. All of them said, this bed is a steal and the quality met their expectations. Easy to put together.— we will see when it arrives ;)

Next, bedding… I have been dreaming of this White Linen Duvet but told myself I had to wait to purchase until we got a new house. So, what did I do- I bought it instantly! I paired it with the Natural Linen Linework Quilt to give the bed some texture, and got 3 matching Linen Euro Shams to match. And to make the bed complete, two Linen Pillowcases in white.

A few accent pieces to give the room some character are the Fiddle Leaf plant (every room should have a plant! I am obsessed with faux plants because… I kill almost every plant in like a week.), A natural Jute rug, which I will later layer with a more colorful rug, but right now, I am unsure of which rug that might be. At the end of the bed, I will place the Amalia Bench, which I have also had my eyes on for FOREVER and now, it’s finally mine.

Lastly, I really like these nightstands and the gold detail on the bottom. We will see what my husband thinks, lol. He may say they’re too girly. No matter what nightstand we get, I will be getting this Waterdrop Table lamp. Those of you who know me, know I LOVE my turquoise.

What do you think? Can’t wait to reveal and check back in in about a week.
